Designer HUB
- Designers display their preapproved ADU models and permits on the Washoe County ADU HUB for review by homeowners exploring ADU opportunities in our community.
- Submission of the initial ADU structure is a “master” plan permit. Initial submission requires designer to pay building review fees; however, at a cheaper rate.
- After homeowner selects their structure, they work with their designer for the final permit.
Gallery Information
Designers, submitting plans to be included on the ADU HUB Plan Gallery is easy. Submissions require building permit for the structure itself (called master permit). Once a submitted ADU plan is reviewed and approved for the structure (issuing the master permit) it will be posted on the ADU HUB Plan Gallery.
Plan Gallery Features
Coming Soon: The Plan Gallery will include the designer preferred photo/design concept, floor plans and elevations, general structure features (bathrooms, bedroom numbers etc.), contact information for the designer, and approved master permit numbers. See the ADU HUB draft Plan Gallery for insight and examples.
Homeowner Selection
When a homeowner chooses from the Plan Gallery one of the models previously approved, they work with their designer to obtain an additional building permit that identifies where and how the model will be located on their property. This will include any grading, utility, or other site work necessary for the ADU. Considering reviewers have previously approved the structure, the site-specific building permit application generally takes less time to review and at a discounted price.
